Summer internship programs are often a student’s first opportunity to turn classroom knowledge into real-world experience.

At First Resource Bank, three college students are getting exactly that opportunity while contributing to the community bank’s Credit and Marketing teams.

This summer, First Resource Bank welcomed Caroline Rendell, Andrew Saccomandi, and James (Jamie) Bean as interns, each bringing a unique background and career aspirations to the organization.

Rendell, an Honors student at Gordon College, is serving as a Credit Analyst Intern. Majoring in Accounting with a minor in Pre-Law, she arrives with experience as a Student Staff Accountant and from a previous legal internship, giving her exposure to both financial and analytical work.

Saccomandi, who studies Finance and Economics at the University of Maryland, joins the bank’s Credit team after participating in hands-on Investment and Banking programs, including the Smith Investment Fund and the CBS Community Banking Competition.

Bean, a Marketing major at West Chester University, is spending the summer with First Resource Bank’s Marketing team. He brings customer-facing experience and is eager to gain practical insight into Financial Services Marketing while helping support the bank’s communications efforts.

The internship program reflects First Resource Bank’s ongoing commitment to developing future talent and creating opportunities for students to gain meaningful professional experience.

By working alongside experienced banking professionals, interns gain exposure to day-to-day operations, industry best practices, and the skills needed to succeed in their future careers.

For the students, it’s an opportunity to learn. For First Resource Bank, it’s an investment in the next generation of professionals.
