A Guide to Autograph Brasserie in Wayne: Date Nights, Brunch, and a Wall of Famous Faces

The Lounge at Autograph Brasserie in Wayne, where violins line the walls above framed album covers and a sculptural brass-and-bulb chandelier anchors the bar.

Autograph Brasserie in Wayne is not the kind of restaurant people book simply because they need dinner. It’s the kind of place people choose when dinner is supposed to feel like something.

Walk in and the faces find you first.

Jim Morrison watches from one wall. John Lennon, Grace Kelly, and Marilyn Monroe look on from others, a gallery of the famous and iconic staring back at you over your cocktail.

They’re part of a collection the restaurant says spans more than 1,000 celebrity autographs, music albums, and authentic photographs, all celebrating the individuals who left their signature on American pop culture.

The Main Line restaurant has built a reputation as a polished special-occasion destination.

Between its dramatic dining rooms, celebrity memorabilia, impressive menus, and dinner and brunch service, Autograph is built to make a meal feel more memorable than ordinary, and it delivers.

Fearless Restaurants group opened the restaurant in May 2016 in the former home of Peppercorn and George’s, in Wayne’s Eagle Village Shops.

The design is where Autograph earns its reputation as a Main Line hot spot.

The main bar, known as The Lounge, plays as a musical homage, with hundreds of album covers and an array of suspended string and brass instruments hanging overhead.

Even the smaller rooms have a point of view: the Sycamore Room is bright with natural light and walls adorned with gold butterflies and a tree at its center, while the plush Club Room invites guests to settle in by the fireplace.

That atmosphere is a major part of the appeal. Diners often describe Autograph as upscale without being stiff.

One Google reviewer called it “upscale but not lofty,” adding that the dining areas “felt inviting.”

The layout also gives guests something to explore.

One reviewer noted that “there’s a different vibe and different experience in each room,” which may be one reason Autograph works for so many occasions.

It can feel like a date-night spot near the bar, a polished brunch destination during the day, or a private dining room for office meetings, showers, and celebrations, depending on where you are seated.

The menu leans modern American with European brasserie influence.

Autograph is known for steaks, seafood, handmade pasta, raw bar selections, cocktails, wine, and rich appetizers.

Dishes frequently mentioned and ordered often by diners include the chicken Milanese, salmon, lobster bisque, steak tartare, truffle fries, mac & cheese, burger, classic Caesar salad, roasted mushrooms, and eggs Benedict.

The desserts hold their own too, with the vanilla bean crème brûlée and the crème caramel “cheesecake” standing out as finishers worth saving room for.

The drink program is just as considered.

The menu runs through cocktails, wines, beers, and a thoughtful lineup of non-alcoholic options, including alcohol-free wines like the Sauvignon Blanc One of One, Central Coast, CA ’24, with notes of grapefruit zest, pear, and fresh herbs, and the Pinot Noir One of One, Central Coast, CA ’24, carrying hints of raspberry, red plum, and spice.

One dish has earned its own little fan club: the lobster cavatelli.

A Google reviewer called it “one of the most amazing dishes we’ve had in the US,” praising both the flavor and the sheer amount of lobster on the plate.

Service is another recurring strength.

Several reviewers named staff members directly, describing the team as attentive, friendly, accommodating, and professional.

One brunch guest wrote that the customer service “really goes above and beyond,” while another said the staff made a last-minute office meeting feel like a priority.

The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but a few small comments are worth noting.

One diner said the outdoor seating area is average compared with the far more memorable interior.

Parking appears to depend on timing, with some guests finding plenty of free parking and others calling it somewhat difficult.

Autograph can also run pricey, especially for dinner, drinks, and special occasions. Reviewers listed experiences ranging from moderate to $100-plus, so it may not be the best fit for a casual, inexpensive meal.

So, is Autograph Brasserie worth the hype?

For diners looking for a quick bite, maybe not.

But for those planning a date night, anniversary, birthday dinner, business meal, brunch with friends, or any celebration that calls for a little Main Line theater, Autograph delivers the full package: atmosphere, service, cocktails, comfort, and dining rooms that give people something to talk about long after the plates are cleared.
