Reading Terminal Market has earned the distinction by USA Today as the best public market in the United States, the publication writes.
This is the third time the Philadelphia’s iconic market has been named the best in the nation.
After finishing atop the list during its first two years in 2021 and 2022, respectively, it finished third the following two years. Last year, it ranked second before regaining its crown atop the list this year.
“This award is special because it’s chosen by people that have made memories at Reading Terminal,” said Annie Allman, CEO and general manager of Reading Terminal Market, in a statement.
The annual list was initially selected by a panel of 10Best local experts and contributors, before readers were given the opportunity to vote and help narrow the list down to a top 10.
“We will continue to live up to the title of Best Public Market. Thank you to everyone who voted!” Allman added.
Founded in 1893, Reading Terminal Market is home to more than 80 small and family-owned businesses.
At the one location, customers can get everything from cheesesteaks to sushi, to donuts, pretzels, ice cream, jewelry, accessories, and more.
