Fusion is the new name around town in Upper Darby’s 69th Street area.
Fusion Gyms and Fusion Theaters have signed leases to occupy 70,000 square feet of space in the 69th Street business district in Upper Darby, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Fusion Gyms has signed a 29,000 square-foot lease at the McClatchy building at 2 S. 69th Street, backfilling space previously occupied by H&M.
Fusion Theaters has a new lease for 41,000 square feet of building space on the east side, in between Five Below and the 3,000-seat Tower Theater.
Fusion Gyms and Fusion Theaters have a common owner, according to CoStar.
The space at 53 S. 69th Street, where Fusion Theaters is looking to open, was occupied by Studio Movie Grill, a movie theater and restaurant.
The property is owned by New York-based Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp.
Fusion Gyms operates 24-hour gyms at four locations in Northeast Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, Fairless Hills, and Warminster.
The 280,000-square-foot Shops at 69th Street is 87 percent leased, according to MSC marketing materials. Tenants include Ross Dress For Less, Foot Locker, Old Navy, and Burlington.
