The 2026 Better Giving for Greater Impact Summit & EXPO is back on Wednesday, May 20, at the Chester County History Center.
The Summit will host expert speakers who will share knowledge and ideas on topics that matter most to today’s philanthropic community, with sessions covering Diagnosing Strategic Problems, Transactional to Strategic Corporate Sponsorship Investments, Legal Issues in the Nonprofit Sector, and a panel discussion on Donor Advised Funds. The Summit will explore DAFs from multiple perspectives, including starting your own DAF, DAF funding and wealth transfer, maximizing funding opportunities, and how DAFs are being used to fund underrepresented founders in for-profit investment capital. Registration is free, but requested attendance is limited. There’s still plenty of opportunity for the public to get involved.
Running alongside the Summit is the free, walk-in Nonprofit EXPO, open from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM, offering a unique chance to connect directly with dozens of nonprofit organizations from across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Hosted by the FirstBank Charitable Foundation and First Bank, the event has grown into one of the region’s most impactful gatherings focused on philanthropy, collaboration, and community investment. Now in its third year, the Summit draws nonprofit leaders, donors, corporations, and foundations, but the EXPO ensures the broader community can take part in the experience.
A ‘Speed Meeting’ Experience with Local Nonprofits
The EXPO is designed to make meaningful connections easy. Visitors can walk through the Chester County History Center and meet representatives from a wide range of organizations, each working to address critical needs in the community — from education and housing to health and social services.
Think of it as a “speed meeting” opportunity: instead of researching organizations online, attendees can have real conversations, ask questions, and discover causes that resonate with them — all in one place.
Built-In Incentives to Explore
To encourage engagement, the EXPO includes a raffle packed with exciting prizes, such as Phillies game tickets, theater passes, restaurant and spa gift certificates, and more.
There’s no cost to enter, but there is a catch: the only way to participate is by visiting nonprofit tables throughout the EXPO. The more organizations you connect with, the more chances you’ll have to win.
No Registration Required
Unlike the Summit, which requests registration, the EXPO is completely open to the public. There’s no need to sign up in advance; just stop by anytime between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM and start exploring.
A Growing Hub for Community Impact
With nearly 200 Summit attendees collectively impacting tens of thousands of people across the region, the Better Giving event continues to expand its reach each year. At its core, the initiative is built on a simple idea: when people come together — sharing knowledge, resources, and connections — real change happens.
The EXPO brings that idea to life in a tangible, accessible way for the entire community.
Whether you’re looking to get involved, support a cause, or simply learn more about the organizations making a difference locally, the Nonprofit EXPO offers an easy and engaging place to start.
