Community Conversation: Imagine Delco on March 17 Looks at County’s Possible Future

Leaders in business, government, education and nonprofits will be imagining the future of Delco at a March 17 event.

The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a World Cafe-style conversation on March 17 that asks the question, “What kind of county are we building for the next generation—and how do we build it better together?”

Imagine Delco: Shaping the Future of Our County” invites county leaders from across business, government, education, and nonprofit sectors to gather from 10 AM to Noon at the Drexelbrook Catering & Corporate Events Center, Drexelbrook Drive and Valley Road in Drexel Hill.

A World Cafe is not a panel or presentation. Instead, participants gather around small tables to explore meaningful questions together, listen deeply to one another, and build shared understanding.

Conversations unfold in multiple rounds, allowing ideas and insights to travel and deepen across the room.

Through guided small-group discussions, the participants will reflect on belonging, connection, support, and youth voice.

The conversation will focus on the experiences, needs, and future of young people in Delaware County.

What emerges from this conversation will be shared directly with high school sophomores in the Youth Leadership Academy, who will listen carefully and respond with their own perspectives the following week, creating a meaningful exchange between today’s and tomorrow’s leaders.

This is an opportunity to slow down, think together, and speak thoughtfully—knowing that the next generation is paying attention.

Your voice matters, not as an expert with answers, but as part of a collective learning process about the county we are building for young people and a potential vision for creating together.

Register today to contribute your voice and help shape the future of Delaware County.

Cost is $30 for community members and $200 to be a supporting sponsor. Sponsorship includes a table at the event, registration for two attendees, your logo on the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce website, and visibility on Chamber social media channels.

Registration does include a continental breakfast, coffee, tea, and water.
