Members of the Delaware County veterans’ community will share their stories of motivation to serve — and the resilience to survive and thrive post-service — on Saturday, Mar. 28, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Delaware County Community College’s (DCCC) Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media). The event will take place in the Academic Building Large Auditorium.

The College is partnering with the Delaware County Office of Military and Veterans Affairs to host the event, which is free and open to the public. Featured speakers include David Kelly, LTC USMC (ret), author of Hell in the Streets of Husaybah, First Fights in Falluja, and Eight-Wheeled Warriors and Grunts; Guillaume LaForest, CAPT Army (ret), author of Do You Know What I’m Thinking – A Collection of Poems & Short Stories From the Modern Man; and Yvonne Bradley, LTC USAF (ret), author of “A Rigged Process” in The Guantanamo Lawyers: Inside a Prison Outside the Law and “Aging Like Fine Wines” for Hip-Hop @ 50: Howard University Public History Program. A reception will follow in the College’s Nazz Mariani Veterans Center. All are welcome.
