A new spot for golf lovers could soon take shape in Springfield, with the township’s Board of Commissioners reviewing an application for a franchised X-Golf location, a simulated golf center featuring a restaurant and bar, writes Max Bennett for the Patch.
At X-Golf, visitors can enjoy simulated golf courses from across the globe and lessons from PGA-certified experts, complemented by beer, cocktails, and a variety of foods, including chicken wings, pizza, soft pretzels, cheesesteak egg rolls, fries, and more.
The X-Golf indoor simulators offer accuracy and realism through a combination of camera systems, infrared lasers, impact sensors, and advanced gaming software, according to the X-Golf website.
The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for players of all ages, males or females. Fun for golfers of all levels regardless of your ability, X-Golf is ideal for work events, birthday parties, corporate functions and buck’s nights..
With locations nationwide, the chain has four in Pennsylvania, located in Chester Springs, Easton, Garnet Valley, and Wexford.
The conditional use applicant for the project is H. Fintan McHugh, Esq., with the proposed business planned for 751 W. Sproul Road, Space 21.
The property is located in the SC-2 zoning district, where a restaurant is considered a conditional use.
