Wawa is also taking over a car dealership in Hawthorne, New Jersey, that has closed, writes Chris Bradford for The U.S. Sun.

The Paul Motor’s shop had been open for 105 years and was one of the first dealerships to sell Volvos in North Jersey.

Owner Diane Korzinski talked about the challenges of running a car dealership, as part of the reason to close.

“We’re a family business – we’re not a corporate structure,” she said.

The land was reportedly sold for $3.5 million.

A date when the new Wawa store and gas station will open was not disclosed.

The new stores continue Wawa’s expansion plans with a goal of increasing its stores to 1,800 by 2030.
