Jason Kelce’s Slow Burn Cologne Smells Like a Barbecue Grill

A still shot of Jason Kelce's head from the Slow Burn ad featuring the retired Philadelphia Eagles center.

Jason Kelce of Haverford  is starring in a new ad for Slow Burn, a new sultry cologne, writes Ariel Simpson for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The limited-edition fragrance smells like a backyard barbecue grill and comes from the Kingsford charcoal brand. It’s available starting Monday.

In the ad, Kelce is standing next to a grill surrounded by smoke.  He’s wearing overalls and no undershirt.

The ad is narrated by Kelce, with several close-ups of chicken thighs and scenes of Kelce pouring charcoal into the grill.

“In a world where fire meets flavor and smoke whispers secrets to the wind, one scent dares to make you crave the essence of backyard barbecue,” Kelce voices over the black-and-white video. “Bold flavors and juicy thighs. Who needs Musk when you can have seared meat? Slow Burn by Kingsford. Savor the smoke. Burn with desire.”

Kingsford has partnered with Kelce to introduce the new fragrance.

“Charcoal has a very distinct smell and characteristic aroma that instantly flashes me back to backyard barbecues with my family, sporting events, and memories centered around sports and kinship,” Kelce said in a press release. “When Kingsford approached me with this idea, I thought right away this could be really cool.
