Quarry Center on Township Line Road in Havertown Put Up for Sale

The Quarry Center, with its two successful anchor stores, Lowe's and Giant, is being sold.

The Quarry Center in Havertown, anchored by Giant Supermarket and Lowe’s home improvement store, is for sale by its developer, writes Paul Scwedelson for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 222,500-square-foot shopping center is expected to fetch more than $80 million for Eureka Ventures.

Giant and Lowe’s generate about 77 percent of the shopping center’s income, according to  CBRE’s Chris Munley, who has the listing with Colin Behr.

The 31-acre Quarry Center has been open since 2013 at 116 Township Line Road.

It was built on the site of the Llanerch Quarry, where granite was mined. In later years, it was a landfill.

Eureka Ventures, comprised of several local family investors,  developed the shopping center at the site.

“You’re buying an incredibly, incredibly safe asset and safe piece of real estate that is fundamentally positioned to succeed forever,” Munley said. “The retail location is one of the best in our market.”

The Quarry Center is fully leased to all of its original tenants. In addition to the two anchor stores, the shopping center has an Xfinity Store, Panera Bread, and Chipotle, among other retailers.

The Giant and Lowe’s are among the top-performing stores in those chains, according to Munley.
