Golfing is a great low-impact outdoor sport that sharpens your eye-hand coordination, but if you’re new to the game, you may not want to pay for expensive tee times.
Fortunately, there’s one country club in Media that can offer you 18 holes with a tee time under $80, writes Laura Brzyski and Giana Longo for Philadelphia Magazine.
The Paxon Hollow Country Club at 850 Paxon Hollow Road in Media, features its best tee time price at $35, with weekdays priced at $55 and weekend rates running between $40 to $70.
Paxon Hollow was originally formed as a private club over 90 years ago. Today, it’s a public course that features classic elements like artfully shaped bunkers and manicured fairways.
The original Paxon Hollow Country Club formed in the fall of 1926, according to the Club website.
The course has been the site of many professional and amateur tournaments and has hosted such great players as Walter Hagen, Art Wall, and Ed Dudley.
Marple Township is planning some major improvements to the Country Club, according to the website.
