IFM Prover, a subsidiary of the German manufacturing firm IFM, has expanded its Chester County presence with a new, larger facility in Malvern and aims to double its headcount, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The company officially debuted its new 89,000-square-foot space this week, which will serve as its U.S. operations base. The new facility marks an expansion from the 37,000-square-foot site IFM Prover previously occupied next door.
In 2012, the company opened its original manufacturing and technology facility in Malvern. A decade later, IFM Prover added a 55,000-square-foot stocking and distribution facility in Downingtown.
Now, the company is working on increasing its manufacturing capacity for the automation sensors and controls it produces for a range of industries.
Overall, the company has about 6,500 employees serving roughly 150,000 customers with over $1.5 billion in annual sales. IFM Prover employs 130 people in Malvern, and plans to reach 250 in the next two to three years, with most of the new additions coming on the assembly line and in engineering.
“We actually cannot keep up with our dreams,” said IFM Prover managing partner Peter Breh. “We cannot hire fast enough.”
