The summer months offer opportunities to recharge, get outside for healthy activities, and find opportunities to relax. Here are three places in Delaware County that can help you get the most health and beauty out of your summer downtime, as compiled by Philadelphia Magazine.
The Retreat at the Vault
A recovery studio, known as The Retreat, can be found at 25 South Morton Avenue in Morton.
This appointment-only studio provides state-of-the-art saunas, cold plunge tanks, red light therapy panels, and 6D massage chairs powered by AI.
The Wildflower Collective
Rachel Creighton created The Wildflower Collective, an intimate space at 16 E. Eagle Road in Havertown for women to come together for creative projects, community, to connect with small businesses, or to just be themselves.
There are pop-up workshops, including journaling, yoga, and DIY charm bars, along with women’s health sessions and a monthly sip-and-socialize event.
Sweeney Todd’s
As unlikely as this may seem, Sweeney Todd’s is an actual barbershop located at 923 Darby Road in Havertown.
Unlike the Sondheim musical, however, customers won’t become meat-pie fillings.
Instead, you’ll find clean cuts, smooth straight-razor shaves, and plenty of conversation and shop talk. Try the $60 cut-and-shave combo, hot towels included.
