Variety, apparently, is the spice of Wawa. The Delaware County-based convenience store chain is constantly coming up with new combinations of Wawa hoagies.
This ranking looks at the worst to best in some of Wawa’s 15 hoagie choices, based on taste and nutrition, writes Chelsea Falin for The Daily Meal.
15. Wawa Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak Hoagie. The flavor was a little off, and the buffalo sauce was not as flavorful as other dishes.
13. Chicken Salad Hoagie. The filling has a “very wet” mouthfeel, plus a slightly off aftertaste.
11. Wawa Oven Roasted Turkey Hoagie. A basic but reliable turkey sandwich that holds together well.
9. Wawa Pepperoni Marinara Hoagie. It’s a solid hot hoagie similar to a meatball but with a spicier pepperoni profile.
7. Wawa BBQ Honey Smoked Turkey Hoagie. The sauce shines through from the light flavor profile of the turkey.
5. Wawa Dill Pickle Ranch Breaded Chicken Hoagie. Wawa’s newest offering.
3. Wawa Cheesesteak Hoagie. A rich umami flavor is balanced by cheese and lots of beef steak.
2. Wawa Meatball Parmesan Hoagie. Well-seasoned meatballs and a small kick of spice from the marinara sauce.
1. Wawa Italian Hoagie. Nobody quite does an Italian hoagie like Wawa.
