Hidden Trail Farm in Northampton Township, this year’s Bucks County Designer House and Gardens, is open for public tours through May 25, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
Proceeds will benefit the Doylestown Health Foundation along with the charitable missions of the Village Improvement Association.
This beautiful property has a long and storied past with the 5,000-square-foot farmhouse that dates back to 1791 standing at the center. It has a lovely porch, three attractive fireplaces, six bedrooms, and several spacious gathering and entertaining spaces. A custom-designed chalet added in 1992 features an open, multi-story living area and two additional bedrooms.
A large, screened-in gazebo is part of the renovated pool and patio area, along with a magnificent Koi pond with a waterfall.
Meanwhile, the barn is home to an on-site cafe with light fare from McCaffrey’s and wine from Old York Cellars, as well as eight boutiques offering everything from jewelry to clothes and home decor items.
The property can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday to Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
