Top Chef Randy Rucker Joining American Airlines Flagship Lounge

One of Philadelphia's top chefs, Randy Ruck, is helping create the new menu for American Airline's Flagship Lounge.

Philadelphia’s top chef, Randy Rucker, will be creating the menu for American Airline’s new Flagship Lounge, set to open this summer at the Philadelphia International Airport, writes Kiki Aranita for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Rucker, of River Twice and Little Water, said his menu items will reflect the Philadelphia region and feature seasonal produce.

“My approach to food is simple on the plate, but complex in development,” he said. “It’s very seasonal. We are definitely reflective of the Delaware Valley. I believe in time and place. There’s also the backbone of Southern soul in what I do.”

Rucker is part of a group of local chefs, restaurants and brands that are coming on board with new dining experiences at PHL.

Middle Child collaborated on a menu for the Chase Sapphire Lounge and now plans to have its own third location in Terminal D this fall.

Oyster House and Federal Donuts & Chicken plan a spring/summer opening in the B/C connector.

They all join Bud & Marilyn’s, Abrina’s, La Colombe, Elixr Coffee, and Jim’s South St. Famous Cheesesteaks, who have already staked out a place at the airport.
