The renowned Chester County attraction, Longwood Gardens, has recently announced the four professionals who landed a spot in the competitive Longwood Gardens Fellows Program, writes staff for Chester County Press.
The 2025-2025 fellows are Nathaniel Cody from Norfolk, Virginia; Jennifer Dick from Waterloo, Ontario; Carmen Grey from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and Yan Li from Shenyang, China.
This is the first year the program is welcoming fellows from Canada and China, furthering Longwood’s mission of a global educational experience. The Fellows Program is an accelerated, hands-on leadership track for those interested in horticulture and public gardens.
Nathaniel Cody is the digital content and marketing project manager at Norfolk Botanical Garden. In this role, Cody has been a creative storyteller, crafting diverse digital marketing campaigns.
Jennifer Dick has spent two decades in the science communication and heritage interpretation field, working at gardens and museums. She is a certified heritage interpreter and certified interpretive trainer.
Carmen Grey has over 17 years of experience in horticulture, agriculture, and education. Grey is an Indigenous horticulturist; passionate about her culture and guided by her respect for nature.
Yan Li, Ph.D., has worked as an engineer at the Shenyang Arboretum. She has published extensive scholarly articles on topics including plant conservation and diversity and botanical monographs.
