Approved Textiles is a relative newcomer to Philadelphia’s Fabric Row. It specializes in supporting “slow fashion” by offering sustainably and ethically produced fabrics, along with home goods, clothing, and gifts.

In business for 94 years, Fleishman Fabrics & Supplies is one of Fabric Row’s anchors, serving an eclectic group of customers — from grandmothers to drag queens.

The shop sells “a little bit of everything,” said owner Joshua Fleishman, and expects to see “an uptick” in customers due to Joann closings.

Family-owned Gaffney Fabrics, a Philadelphia mainstay since 1970, stocks a wide selection of fabrics, notions, and trims in its 10,000-square-foot space.

J&O Fabrics Center and Summerdale Mills operate under the same roof in Northeast Philadelphia. J&O Fabrics caters to all types of sewists and crafters, with a wide selection of textiles and supplies. Meanwhile, Summerdale Mills is dedicated to home furnishings and upholstery, providing tailored solutions for homeowners and interior designers alike.
