The popular travel website Thrillist recently unveiled its list of “must-visit” small towns across the United States, naming Ambler as Pennsylvania’s top pick, according to a staff report from FOX 29 Philadelphia.
“We looked from coast to coast at villages, townships, and even islands, where the living is easy and the pace reliably slow,” said the outlet.
The website found that Ambler boasts a quaint small town feeling that attracts those who are tired of city living.
“Old brick buildings, pubs, boutiques, a dance company, painting studio, and a playhouse that puts on spectacular live productions – Ambler has the quintessential small-town Main Street, only better,” wrote Thrillist editor Erin Weaver.
The Ambler Theater was highlighted as one of the main attractions in this charming town, as it has among other things, entertaining and poignant plays and shows as well as a variety of movies that it shows. Another highlight is the house-turned-microbrewery at Forest and Main.
The small town vibe is kept alive throughout the year with its many street fairs and farmers markets.
