Former Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is teaming up with Wawa for a new commercial set to air this weekend before the Super Bowl, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Wawa announced that the commercial will play on Saturday and Sunday and once on Fox 29 before the game begins.
Foles will be narrating the Delaware County-based chain’s 15-second commercial.
The retired quarterback was with the Eagles during their first Super Bowl win in 2018 against the New England Patriots.
“Philadelphia will always have a special place in my heart and it’s awesome to partner with a company like Wawa that continues to show up for its community,” said the former Super Bowl MVP.
Wawa has become the team’s official hoagie sponsor, airing its first Super Bowl ad with Jason Kelce in 2023. The now-retired Eagles Center narrated the commercial, defending the use of the term “hoagie” as opposed to “sub.”
The store chain’s Chief Customer Officer, Alex Costabile discussed how excited they were to partner with Foles.
Wawa also announced that any size hot coffee will be available for free on Sunday before the game at 6:30 p.m.
