Business strategist Lindsay Smith of Springfield is looking to inspire local entrepreneurs and business leaders with her debut book, “No One Needs Another Company Mug.”
The Cardinal O’Hara and LaSalle University graduate wanted to share her own business experiences and talk about the importance of customers relationships to build success, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.
For the past 21 years, Smith has held various corporate positions, including marketing director, project manager, director of sales and marketing and chief strategy officer.
Her book shows how customer success can come from creating unforgettable experiences, rather than just traditional branding strategies.
Smith shares her own journey of growing a business, emphasizing customer care and connections.
“Traditional marketing says, ‘We sell widgets,’ ” Smith explained. “But I say, ‘We make you feel like a VIP — and we happen to sell widgets.’
The book includes case studies and 10 actionable strategies for any size business.
“Imagine if every business focused on creating remarkable experiences,” Smith said. “We’d see less negativity and more loyalty, referrals and growth. It’s a shift from which we can all benefit.”
