Health and Wellness Director

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking a Health and Wellness Director to support its Personal Care and Memory Care community. The Health and Wellness Director overseeing the personal care and memory care services within the community, is responsible for a range of tasks including:

  • Assessing Residents’ Health: evaluating the overall health of our residents and creating personalized care plans tailored to their unique needs.
  • Emergency Response: In urgent situations, provide immediate intervention to ensure residents’ well-being.
  • Promoting Independence: facilitate residents’ independence by offering nursing support that empowers them to maintain their autonomy.
  • Operational Excellence: plan, organize, develop, and direct our nursing services, always striving for the highest quality patient care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and local standards, promoting a safe and compliant environment. 

Other duties:

  • Level of Care Assessment
  • Supervise and Educate Healthcare Personnel
  • Schedule Management as necessary
  • Assess Resident Appropriateness
  • Memory Care Program Integration
  • Documentation and Compliance
  • Quality Assurance Coordination

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Possess an active LPN or RN in the State of Pennsylvania
  • A minimum of two to three years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferably a Personal Care Home or long-term care background.
  • A minimum of 1 year leadership experience overseeing a clinical team.
  • Possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
  • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Concierge

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking a Concierge to work full-time overnight, 11 PM to 7 AM, and a part-time weekend day shift 7 AM to 3 PM.

This position greets residents, employees and guests and strives to anticipate their needs and acts accordingly. They listen to medical concerns in an efficient manner. This person is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of emergency first aid and care rendered.

They are responsible for medication reminders and can assist in direct resident care as necessary. The Independent Living Concierge/Medical Assistant is an important component to the Hospitality Team striving to maintain the overall Wellness of residents.

Candidates for this position:

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least six months medical and customer service experience. Geriatric and/or emergency involvement preferable. 
  • C.N.A. or Certified Medication Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMT experience is strongly preferred for when responding to medical emergencies.

Server

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking full- and part-time servers.

Part-time servers assist during evening hours for a dinner meal in both independent living, skilled nursing and personal care. There are also Full Time server positions available that would work primarily the day shift in the skilled nursing and personal care departments.

Freedom Village offers tuition reimbursement through its resident council; in 2022-2023 residents raised over $60,000 that was distributed to rising college freshman and business professionals looking to further their education at Freedom Village at Brandywine.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Server:

  • Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
  • Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always.
  • Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables.
  • Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
  • Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Experience in working with seniors preferred.
  • Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required.
  • Experience in food service work preferred.
