Outrigger Industrial has presented plans to Middletown Township to construct a warehouse/distribution center at the Franklin Mint site.

Outrigger Industrial wants to build a warehouse/distribution center on the former Franklin Mint parcel on Baltimore Pike in Middletown, writes Pete Bannon for the Daily Times.

The company submitted a proposal to Middletown officials for the warehouse on Nov. 21. It had initially brought plans for the site to the planning commission back in May.

The warehouse project would sit just south of the Pennsylvania State Police barracks.

The plans call for a 360,000 square-foot distribution center, though the footprint for the building could shrink, said Middletown Township Manager John McMullan.

The township conducted an administrative review of the plan. The application could go to the planning commission possibly in the second week of January, McMullen said.

Outrigger Industrial is a partnership between investor members Davidson Kempner Capital Management and Monarch Alternative Capital, and four-founding managing partners with real estate development experience, according to its website.

The partnership develops real estate assets for logistics, distribution, assembly, outdoor storage, data centers, cold storage and light manufacturing around the US.

Outrigger Industrial has offices in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Columbus, Chicago, Houston, and Southern California.

It has executed $1.6 billion of combined investments.
