After a month on the run, an elusive pig in Bucks County was finally captured by Bensalem police earlier this week, according to a staff report from 6abc

The wandering swine fell for a special trap near Newport Mews Drive in Bensalem Township on Tuesday.

It was affectionately dubbed “Porky,” “Oscar” and “Buddy” throughout the hunt.

Resident Tony Dragani kept a lookout for Buddy for the weeks that the pig would circle his backyard, even going so far as to build a shelter for it. He eventually earned the animal’s trust, and with some help, lured him to safety.

Now, the pig is headed to the Ross Mill Pig Farm in Jamison, where he is scheduled to undergo a checkup. If all goes well, this little adventurer will soon be on the hunt for his forever home.
