2 Delaware County Tech Firms Among Fastest Growing in Nation
Seven Philadelphia-area companies made the 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list, including two from Delaware County, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.
Deloitte’s 30th annual Fast 500 list ranks tech companies based on revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. The compilation is a mix of private and public companies.
Radnor-based Marinus Pharmaceuticals fell into the top 100 on the list this year, ranking at No. 80. That’s after not making the list last year.
The publicly-traded firm reported 1,704 percent growth from 2020 to 2023, but has since had to scale back significantly this year after its lead seizure drug candidate came up short.
Swarthmore-based LoanStar Technologies ranked No. 236 with 504 percent revenue growth.
The eight-year-old fintech startup was also ninth on this year’s Fast 50 list, showing 2023 revenue that almost tripled from 2021 to $9.67 million.
The 500 companies this year are spread across 39 states.
The tri-state area covering Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey are home to 16 percent of the companies on this year’s list.
The fastest-growing company in the region is dbt Labs in Philadelphia, which ranked 77th and had a revenue growth of 1,756 percent.
