There are no less than 12 new Delaware County restaurants that have opened this fall, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Village at Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square is hosting a new Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Turning Point, Toastique, and Napa Kitchen & Wine. They join a new Spread Bagelry and the independent restaurant, Otaka Sushi, that opened this past summer.

Departure, in Media, down the block from the Delaware County Courthouse, features an international small-plate menu.  The restaurant brings some city style to Media with low lighting, plush chairs, velvet banquettes, and a 45-foot bar with room for 22.

Federal Donuts & Chicken in Radnor is open, with more stores planned for Conshohocken and Willow Grove.

Fond in Wallingford has a French-ish BYOB for Delaware County’s brunch and dinner.

Hiramasa in Newtown Square is an upscale, dramatically lit pan-Asian bar-restaurant that includes a sushi bar.

Izzy’s Cocktail Bar in Ardmore is a snug Japanese izakaya that has a small food menu of mostly bao bun and rolls and a bar list heavy n sake.

Wolf’s Superior Sandwiches in Havertown brings unique sandwiches, the second store to open following one in Aston.
