Conshohocken Italian Bakery Calls Fire Department, Closes Earlier Than Planned
The Conshohocken Italian Bakery suffered an oven malfunction, causing the location to close, reports Emily Rose Grassi for NBC Philadelphia.
The oven malfunctioned while staff was baking. Fire crews arrived at the scene shortly after. No staff was injured, the bakery reported on Facebook.
” Everyone is okay, and we thank everyone for checking up on us,” The bakery said on social media. “We also want to take a moment to thank our local fire departments, who quickly responded and secured the scene.”
The malfunction took place only a few weeks after the beloved bakery announced they would close their doors for good after 51 years of service. They planned to be open until October 27, but now they are closed for the foreseeable future.
