Colleges That Make Graduates Rich Include a Few in Delaware County

For college graduates looking at future graduate salaries to improve their financial situation there are several top colleges in the nation that can help make that happen, including some in Delaware County, writes Kevin McAllister for The Wall Street Journal.

Prestigious private colleges and universities like Swarthmore College are in the upper tier of a 500-university list compiled by The Wall Street Journal of the Best Colleges in the U.S. for 2025.

Swarthmore shows up at 35 and for an average net price of $21,595, graduates from Swarthmore will see $51,226 added to their graduate salary, .while only taking one year, 8 months to pay off the net price of college.

Villanova University, ranking at 79, has an average net price of $43,090 but adds $69,093 to a graduate’s salary, taking 2 years and five months to pay off the net price of college.

Haverford College, ranking at 88, has an average net price of $21,464, but adds $50,029 to a graduate salary, taking 1 year, 8 months to pay off the price of college.

Beyond the local scene, The Wall Street Journal reported that no U.S. college is better at improving the financial future of its graduates than the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
