
Thirteen recipients, including Christina Olear of Penn State Brandywine, have received a 2024 Faculty Engagement Award from Penn State University Libraries’ Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) with this year’s theme of “Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Teaching.”
Recipients will collaborate with TLT staff to identify potential uses, constraints and best practices for using generative AI for teaching purposes. Faculty will utilize available generative AI tools including Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Firefly to assist in content creation, course planning and content delivery.
Penn State Brandywine’s Christina Olear is an assistant teaching professor of accounting at Penn State Brandywine University in Media.

- Farnaz Tehranchi, assistant professor, School of Engineering Design and Innovation, College of Engineering
TLT’s Faculty Engagement Awards are granted annually around a theme that combines sound pedagogy and digital tools.
Penn State Brandywine is one of 20 Penn State Commonwealth Campuses (and 24 total locations) across the state, hosting 1,400 students. It is located at 25 Yearsley Mill Road in Media.
It offers 12 four-year baccalaureate degree programs, as well as the first two years of study in most of the over 275 baccalaureate degree programs available throughout the University.
Associate degree programs in Business Administration, Human Development and Family Studies, and Multidisciplinary Studies) also are available, along with student internships, undergraduate research and international study programs.
