WSFS Bank has donated $50,000 to Homecoming 250 Navy Marine Corps, a nonprofit organizing 250th birthday celebrations for the Navy and Marine Corps in Philadelphia and Camden in 2025.

“This support for our effort to celebrate the Navy and Marine Corps 250th birthdays in their Delaware Valley birthplace is greatly appreciated,” said Homecoming 250 President George Leone. “This donation will help us host the grand opening event of the Semiquincentennial; highlight our area’s key role in the founding of the American armed services; pay tribute to the Navy and Marine Corps; honor sailors, Marines, and veterans; and stage spectacular events for tourists and the citizens of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.”

“Much like our country, the Navy, and Marine Corps, WSFS traces its deep roots to the Greater Philadelphia region, where we have been fortunate to serve our customers and communities for nearly 200 years,” said Rodger Levenson, WSFS Bank’s Chairman, President, and CEO. “As the oldest and largest locally headquartered bank and trust company in the region, we’re honored to partner with Homecoming 250 and look forward to celebrating this monumental occasion in our nation’s history together.”

Homecoming 250 has said that at least five Navy ships, historical vessels, a Blue Angels flyover, and VIP events will comprise the celebrations in October and November of next year.
