Local theaters such as County Theater in Doylestown are thriving, thanks to last summer’s ‘Barbenheimer’ phenomenon.

The County Theater in Doylestown, a community staple for 86 years, brings the magic of movies to the community, writes Nikki DeMentri for CBS News Philadelphia.  

The historic theater, which has been a cultural hub since 1938, relies heavily on annual memberships to keep its doors open. 

The “Hollywood Summer Nights” series, running through mid-September, showcases classic films from Hollywood’s golden era, aiming to draw in audiences with nostalgia and timeless cinema. 

Recently, the theater featured a singalong screening of “Mary Poppins,” highlighting its dedication to providing memorable experiences. Later this month, County Theater will also offer outdoor movie screenings, extending the magic beyond its walls.
