Kelce Brothers Sign a New Heights Deal That Is Valued at $100M
Jason Kelce of Haverford and brother Travis Kelce have signed a deal with Amazon’s Wondery unit for their “New Heights” Podcast worth more than $100 million, writes Anne Steele for The Wall Street Journal.
The brothers started the podcast two years ago and it has only grown in popularity amidst a flourishing podcast market.
“New Heights” mixes sports (with an emphasis on the NFL), with interviews, and personal and professional chatter.
It has more recently delved into the pop culture scene following Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift, as Swifties became part of the podcast’s listening audience.
Wondery can now distribute and sell ads for audio and video versions of “New Heights.” The podcast will continue to be available across Spotify, Apple, YouTube and Amazon Music.
Episodes will be available early and ad-free on the Wondery+ subscription service. The deal also includes Wondery collaborations with the Kelces and a first-look option for new consumer product lines that Jason or Travis might want to develop.
Wave Sports + Entertainment, the previous distributor of “New Heights” will continue to produce the show.
“New Heights” ranked No. 4 on a list from Edison Research of top U.S. podcasts in the second quarter.
