Production Systems Automation Inc., a Duryea, Pa.-based robotics and automated equipment manufacturer with a plant in Aston, is expanding and plans to add 100 employees over the next 36 months, writes Borys Krawczeniuk for WVIA News.

The announcement was made by PSA president and CEO Michael McHale during a July 19 event with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

The governor was highlighting a new state PA SITES program to redevelop abandoned industrial sites, which Production Systems Automation hopes to utilize.

The company currently employs 92 people, with plans to add two more buildings. It has plants in Duryea, Lawrence in Washington County, and in Aston.

The new $400 million state program will give the company “a chance to grow and compete on a national stage,” McHale said.

“The future is bright. And with the development of these additional buildings, we will be able to successfully support our three locations, grow our current clients, launch our depot business for the Army and start manufacturing state-of-the-art satellite systems and increase our manufacturing skill set,” he said.
