
Gwynedd Mercy University is pleased to announce that Michael Minetti, MBA will serve as the new Assistant Vice President (AVP) for University Advancement.
Minetti takes over the role from Christina Riso, JD, who was promoted to Vice President for University Advancement in April 2024.
As AVP, his areas of focus will include the strategy and effectiveness for annual giving and constituent engagement, including alumni, parent, and donor engagement. He will work with alumni at corporate entities to develop strategic partnerships for revenue-generating opportunities.
He will oversee the University Advancement communications strategy with a focus on organizational development, strategic planning, and campaign operations.
Minetti has more than 16 years of higher education and advancement experience. Most recently, he served as Director for Student and Young Alumni Engagement at Temple University, where he led a team that built a dynamic approach focused on personal enrichment and professional development opportunities to engage students and young alumni.
Minetti and his team built a digital engagement experience and grew the pipeline of engaged students and young alumni.
In addition, he also managed the Temple University Young Alumni Association Board and the “30 Under 30 Young” Alumni recognition program. As a member of the Community Innovation Team at Temple, he served on a committee that focused on increasing employee retention, sustained fundraising, and the overall productivity and efficiency of Institutional Advancement at Temple.
Prior to his role at Temple, Minetti served as the Associate Director of Alumni Relations at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where he managed Cardinal Weekend, the University’s annual weeklong homecoming and reunion celebration, and student and young alumni engagement efforts.
