An unexpected sighting of an 8-foot tall Bigfoot figure has turned heads and sparked amusement among Bensalem residents, writes Jo Ciavaglia for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Unlike the town’s former mascot, Ben the Turkey, this mysterious creature seems to be here to stay.

The shadowy silhouette, resembling the legendary Bigfoot, appeared recently on Mayflower Drive at Hessian Turn.

Early Monday morning, a local woman spotted the figure while driving to the gym. The sighting was shared on the “Bensalem Proud” Facebook page.

Securely bolted to an Elm tree, the figure made from construction material, ensures that Bigfoot won’t be wandering onto the road anytime soon.

This isn’t the only Bigfoot cutout in the area. Similar figures have been reported in Richboro, Croydon, and even the Poconos, sparking speculation about the artist behind these installations.

While the mystery remains unsolved, the Bensalem Bigfoot has certainly brought a dose of fun and intrigue to the community, just in time for the Halloween season.
