Delaware County sisters Danielle Leonhard and Christine Wyatt have partnered to create Juice Pod, a store that offers fresh fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies.

The Juice Pod with its menu of fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies started at the Jersey Shore back in 2016 and has been expanding ever since.

Now the two Delaware County sisters who started it all are opening a new Juice Pod in Havertown next month, writes Kathleen E. Carey for the Daily Times.

Juice Pod customers will find rows of fresh fruits and vegetables on display ready to be mixed or juiced.

That healthy vibe is essential, say Juice Pod founders Danielle Leonhardt and Christine Wyatt.

 “Food is medicine,” Leonhardt said.

The two women have eated healthy all their lives and want to bring that experience to their customers.

“I think you feel better, you do better. If you’re feeling all slunky and fatigued and tired, then, that’s the energy that you’re putting out,” Wyatt said.

The sisters grew up in Glenolden and graduated Interboro High School.

Leonhardt opened the first Juice Pod in Avalon, New Jersey, in 2016. The first Delaware County location in Springfield opened in 2019, followed by one in Newtown Square and Ridley.

Today, there are 20 in the region, with the new Havertown Juice Pod opening on Brookline Blvd. this June.
