Marple Police released this photo of a coyote they believe is still at large in the Broomall area.

The coyote that snatched a Marple woman’s dog last week was caught Wednesday morning, but another has been sighted still in the Broomall area, writes Cherise Lynch for NBC 10 Philadelphia.

“Thanks to the skill and determination of Animal Control and the cooperation of nearby residents, one of the wild beasts was caught early this morning,” Marple Township Police said in a statement.

The dog snatching took place April 11, when the pet owner let a 9-year-old Terrier into the family back yard, writes Namrata Padhee for DogTime.

The coyote carried the Terrier, named Fred, into the woods, alarming other area small pet owners

Marple Police have reported up to three coyote sightings in the past few days and believe there is at least one other elusive coyote “in the wilds of Marple”.

Residents should call 911 if they spot it so Animal Control can locate it.

“Coyotes are becoming more common, not only in the suburbs but in the city. They’re just getting pushed out of different areas,” Marple Township Police Chief Brandon Graeff told NBC10.

Small pets and children should never be left unattended, and dogs should always be walked on a leash, police advise.
