Penn State Great Valley is announcing Kathryn DiPuppo Tucker as its new Director of Campus Development.

Bringing a wealth of experience in fundraising, relationship-building, and community engagement, Kat is joining the team to spearhead philanthropic initiatives and foster a strong connection with the campus community.

With a distinguished career in the nonprofit sector, Kat has worked at organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the The Peyton Walker Foundation.

In her role as the campaign manager for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of South Central Pennsylvania, she played a pivotal role in cultivating donor relationships and raising awareness about breast cancer.

Kat’s return to the Philadelphia area marks a homecoming after residing in Hershey, Pa., since 2014.

She is a proud holder of a BA in Japanese from the University of Pittsburgh and has recently augmented her credentials with an Organization Development and Change Essentials Certificate from Penn State World Campus.

A lifelong connection to the Penn State community and a background rooted in an extended family of Penn State alumni make her transition to the Great Valley campus a natural fit.

Reflecting on her new role, Kat expressed her enthusiasm and vision for the future.

“It is an honor to join Chancellor Colin Neill and the incredible staff and faculty at Penn State Great Valley. I look forward to supporting the mission, core values, initiatives, and goals of the campus while engaging with its passionate community of alumni and friends.

My vision is to enhance the community’s connection to Penn State Great Valley, supporting individuals’ philanthropic interests and creating opportunities to strengthen the higher education experience for our graduate and professional students,” she said.

Kat’s extensive background in fundraising, program development, volunteer management, and community health education positions her as a vital asset to Penn State Great Valley. Her leadership is poised to significantly contribute to the campus’s continued success and growth.
