Immaculata University’s fashion merchandising program is hosting its annual fashion show, “Strut Through the Twenties,” on Saturday, Apr. 13, from 6:30-9:00 PM in Immaculata’s Great Hall.

This event is not only a showcase of style but also a philanthropic endeavor aimed at assisting high school students in need by easing the financial burdens associated with prom, including the cost of formal attire and tickets. Many of the dresses featured in the show will be donated to high school students.

“As many parents know, prom night can be an expensive evening, but it should also be a magical experience for high school students,” said Lina Castro, Director of Immaculata’s Fashion Merchandising Program. “For six years, Immaculata’s fashion merchandising students have organized a fashion show to help these students enjoy their special night and not worry about the expense.”

Attendees can anticipate a captivating evening filled with a diverse array of fashion, including prom dresses from the David’s Bridal 2024 collection, Elizabeth Johns Bridal Boutique, Dress Lounge, traditional African cultural formal attire, along with original designs crafted by Immaculata fashion merchandising students. The Greg Masters Trio will provide live music, and light refreshments will be served. In addition to viewing the fashion show, guests will have the opportunity to explore vendor tables and engage with Immaculata’s fashion merchandising projects while interacting with current fashion students.

The 2024 Immaculata Fashion Show is sponsored by David’s Bridal, Dress Lounge, and Elizabeth Johns Bridal Boutique.

Tickets are available for purchase online and at the door. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for students.
