Jason Kelce gives his thoughts on how the Kelce-Swift combo is possibly driving up game views.

The Kelce-Swift combo is good for the NFL, which is seeing higher viewership these days spurred on by the relationship between Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce and music icon Taylor Swift, writes Scooby Axson for USA Today.

It’s debated whether viewership is up because Swifties are checking out Swift’s new boyfriend Kelce, or if it’s just more people in general checking out Taylor Swift at football games.

One thing is clear. The AFC Championship game Sunday, where the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens 17-10, saw a record 55.473 million viewers tune in.  The Kece-Swift combo could be why.

Kelce’s brother, Jason of the Philadelphia Eagles, is pleased.

“The attention is there because the audience wants to see it, I know that,” Jason Kelce said to WCPO. “If people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. She is the quintessential artist right now in the world, a singer-songwriter. She is an unbelievable role model for young women across the globe.”

“The NFL probably would be foolish not to show her, and be a role model for all the young girls out there,” he concluded.
