Elizabeth Herremans, the wife of Philadelphia Eagles player Todd Herrremans, saw first-hand the difficulties players and their families have in moving to a new city offseason, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Todd Herremans was with the Eagles for 10 years, but in the 11th year, the newlyweds were uprooted to Indianapolis. They had to find a new home, a new community, and even new doctors.

“I think that a lot of people just view athletes as this glamorous situation where you get to live in different cities and be wherever you want. [They think] it must be so cool and everything, but it comes with its struggles.”

Now Elizabeth Herremans, a licensed Realtor with Media-based Brent Celek Real Estate, has launched Birds Nesting, hoping to help with homebuying for new Eagles that may isolated moving to Greater Philadelphia.

Homebuying for new Eagles players means matching the player with the right neighborhood, said the real estate agent and tour guide. That can mean a Center City high-rise for a young draft looking for action, or a farmhouse in Bucks or Chester County for the player who grew up on a farm.

Find out more about the Herremans’ move to Indianapolis and about Nesting Birds in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
