Two Chester brothers' basketball dream finally came true when both ended up on the same Philippine team.

It was a Chester brothers’ basketball dream– Rahlir and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson would one day play professional basketball together.

But a difference in their age made that dream unlikely, writes Jeff Neibura for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Younger Rondae would eventually enter the NBA draft and become the 23rd overall pick in 2015.

Rahlir, the older brother, took a different path, playing international ball.

Rondae, favored by the NBA, played four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, another in Toronto, and part of another with the Portland Trail Blazers.

When his NBA options became more limited, he, like his brother, sought out international basketball, eventually joining the Philippines’ TNT Tropang Giga last year.

He became a star for the team, leading them to the PBA Governors’ Cup.

When a spot opened on the team, Rondae saw a chance to have their childhood dream come true. He lobbied on behalf of his brother, and on Dec. 20, Rahlir signed on to the team.

“I was happy for both of them because their dream came true,” said mom Rylanda Hollis. “I just couldn’t stop smiling,”
