Forbes Advisor Education named Immaculata University’s online doctorate in educational leadership as one of the top 10 online Ed.D. programs in the U.S., out of 182 programs offered nationwide by accredited, nonprofit colleges.

The Forbes team provides unbiased rankings for institutions and degree programs based on data about affordability, graduation rates and student experience drawn from the National Center for Education Statistics and from institutions’ websites.

Immaculata’s Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration offers live online classes on weekday evenings in accelerated, seven-week sessions, allowing full-time professionals to complete the program in three years. Courses are also offered on Immaculata’s campus in Malvern and at select off-campus locations in various Pennsylvania school districts.

More than 750 educators have graduated from Immaculata’s Ed.D. program since its inception more than 30 years ago. Students can enter an extensive professional network, with alumni in high-ranking positions as superintendents and intermediate unit directors.

The curriculum for Immaculata’s Doctor of Education includes classes in personnel management and labor relations, communication theory and practice, curriculum management, pupil personnel services and school leadership in teaching and learning. Students complete three research courses in preparation for writing and defending their dissertations.

“Immaculata’s Ed.D. program continues its rich history of preparing educational leaders at the highest standard, and our online modality represents how we have evolved to meet the needs of these successful working professionals,” said Marcia Parris, Ed.D., dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research.
