After winning the championship in Philadelphia, the Darby Monarchs, also known as the Delco Monarchs, left for Orlando on Saturday to compete at the national Pop Warner tournament, reports CBS News Philadelphia.

This is the 14U Pop Warner football team’s first trip to the National Championship. The team is planning to use the opportunity to show what they are capable of and the players also plan to have a good time while there.

“We’re gonna show them what this region, the Greater Philadelphia, is all about,” said Darby Monarchs head coach Rahsaan Lisimba.

The team will take the field in the first round on Monday against a team from Colorado.

The team was not certain if it would make the championship due to financial issues, but the community rallied around the youth and helped raise a major chunk of the necessary funds.
