Project Engineer – Bryn Mawr 

This position utilizes technical abilities to evaluate, manage, and oversee the connection of new wastewater and water customers throughout Pennsylvania. Duties include evaluating new connection requests to determine if Aqua can provide service, performing capacity analysis for Aqua’s existing sewer infrastructure, and reviewing design drawings and water quality management permits for new pump stations or pump stations upgrades. Other job aspects are preparing planning studies and reports to guide management of future system needs and reviewing design drawings and water quality management permits 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with a concentration in water/wastewater preferred. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and excellent organization skills along with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

System Operator/Dispatcher, 3rd Class – Bryn Mawr 

This position will oversee dispatching emergency workers and crews to investigate and repair leaks on water mains, operate the SCADA Computer Systems, monitor alarms and notify appropriate personnel for response. Other duties include making entries in logbook for customer calls and emergencies, shut-downs, and hydrant removals, as well as responding to PA One Call System and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for environmental events.   

The ideal candidate should have the ability to utilize computers for system operation, e-mails, mapping, CIS, company plans, security and other systems. Candidates should have good verbal communication skills in dealing with internal and external telephone calls, the ability to work independently and make decisions, and have basic mathematics skills, legible handwriting, and knowledge of computers.

Director of Water Distribution & Maintenace – Springfield 

This position will play a role in labor-management matters, for local government relations, and will be accountable for the delivery of safe, compliant reliable operations. Duties include directing and leading the inspection and maintenance of the distribution system which spans water mains, services, fire hydrants, and more. Other parts of the job description entail the review of work order reports and other productivity reports and evaluate for efficiency, acting as liaison with municipal and state officials, and ensuring timely completion of projects in accordance with the budget. 

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, although a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have or obtain a PADEP Drinking Water, Class E license required within 12 months and experience leading a team of at least 20 people, preferably within a unionized environment, as well as evidence of driving strategic improvement in utility operations and capital improvement projects.
