For people looking to escape for the Thanksgiving holiday, the top holiday flight destinations out of Philadelphia International Airport are Orlando, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

For the third year in a row, Philadelphia International Airport will see its busiest Thanksgiving travel since 2019.

It’s expected there will be 904,900 departing and arriving passengers at PHL from Friday, Nov. 17 through Tuesday, Nov. 28. That’s an 11 percent increase from the estimated 814,506 travelers it saw during the same period in 2022.

The busiest day is expected to be Sunday, Nov. 26, with an estimated 92,474 travelers.

Wednesday, Nov. 22, is likely to be the second busiest, with an estimated 81,990 travelers.

“The uptick in travel continues a trend we have experienced throughout this year and makes us excited for our continued pandemic recovery as we head into 2024,” said PHL CEO Atif Saeed.
