Making a Difference: The IBX Blue Crew’s Impact on the Philadelphia Region
Independence Blue Cross’s corporate volunteer program, the Blue Crew, is comprised of passionate associates who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where they live, work, and play.
The video above illustrates why the Blue Crew is vital to the region and features:
- Steve Fera, Independence’s Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Markets
- Rev. Dr. Lorina Marshall-Blake, Vice President of Community Affairs at Independence and President of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation
- Courtney McDade, Independence’s Director of Public Affairs Programs
- Blue Crew volunteers and representatives of partnering organization Ronald McDonald House Charities of Philadelphia
For over 20 years, the Blue Crew has worked with more than 100 diverse nonprofit organizations in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties, dedicating hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours to enhance the health and well-being of the people they serve. Whether serving hot meals, planting gardens to help underserved communities overcome food insecurity, or creating care packs that benefit our most vulnerable, these acts touch the lives of thousands of individuals and, ultimately, our entire region.
