One Delaware County town rated having the best drivers in Pennsylvania.

A new study has found that Haverford Township has the best drivers in Pennsylvania, coming out first in a list of 10 communities in the state, according to the Tribune News Service appearing in the Daily Times.

Unfortunately, right next door, Upper Darby ranked 7th out of 10 for worst drivers in the state.

The rankings were published through QuoteWizard, an insurance-comparison shopping and research tool.

The study looked at driving behaviors and analyzed insurance quotes to determine driving quality in Pennsylvania.

For good or bad, no other Delaware County towns made the lists.

Pennsylvania drivers ranked 16th in the nation for driving habits.

Connecticut has the best drivers in the country, while Utah sports the worst drivers, according to the analysis.

QuoteWizard analyzed more than 100,000 car insurance quotes to get the best and worst-driving cities in Pennsylvania.

It also looked at the number of accidents, citations, speeding tickets, and drunk-driving incidents.

In a related analysis, it also checked out infrastructure conditions for each state. The report determined that Pennsylvania drivers pay an average of $620 each year for potholes and “failing road infrastructure.”

Pennsylvania ranked seventh-worst overall in a national report on infrastructure conditions back in March.

Find out what else is in the report in the Daily Times.
