The Largest And Most Inclusive Playground In New Jersey Is Incredible
Today’s playgrounds are a lot different than the ones many of us remember from our childhood, and that’s probably good, writes Raymond Goldfield for Only in Your State.
Those were the days of swinging as high as possible until we fell off or sliding down a hot metal slide on a 90-degree day.
Today’s playgrounds are a lot safer and more inclusive so that kids with disabilities can join in the fun.
A good example of that is the Watessing Park Playground in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
There’s unique features everywhere, making it a one-of-a-kind getaway for all kids.
General Recreation in Newtown Square worked with the designer of the playground and sold the play equipment to the contractor who built the park.
The 15,000-square-foot Watessing Park Playground is considered the most accessible playground in New Jersey.
There’s a lot of climbing spaces for active kids, with every piece adapted to be safe and accessible.
Some of the park has an art installation feel to it with a unique Jersey flair.
